Naive and sweet, innocent. Does not fully understand the world and it's wicked ways. Believes that everyone has some sort of good in them, no matter their past, present or future indiscretions. Easily swayed and vulnerable. In many ways her personality can come across as quite childlike. The simplest things amuse and delight her, and when it comes to most things, she's known to be rather forgiving and accepting. She has a tendency to throw tantrums, but is otherwise compliant and willing; withdrawn and timid, but warms quickly.

Brief History:

Much as her appearance suggests, Rys is a Faerie/Foxline "changeling". Switched at birth, her identity became known only after her "parents" passed in a fire at the tender age of 8. Stricken with grief and confusion, with the loss of the only family she'd ever known - unaware of her slumbering abilities; the still smoking remains of what had once been her home became swallowed in leaves and the delicate curvature of intricate vines, splotches of color turning ash to flora where a large Willow tree erupt from beneath the charred soil.
Believing it was the work of the devil, those who remained within the village attempted to destroy the tree and all that remained - only to have it return time and time again. Before long, she herself was viewed as the spawn of something unholy - a threat to their peaceful way of life, and shortly after the incident whilst she slept amidst the rubble and ruin - she was beaten near death before being sold into the slave trade for a large sum of coin, where she has remained since. Throughout the years she has exchanged many hands, some more cruel than the last - some softer in their touch. At some point in her time, she landed within the hands of a Physician, who grew, raised and cultivated his own herbs and vegetation for various tonics and medicines.
This is where she found her love for plants and nature, and the abilities that came with it. For years, she taught herself how to use and hone her abilities, practicing in secret, until a client of the Physician witnessed her in a field close to the Physician's home. Fearing for her life and still unable to control her abilities, she ran. However, she didn't get far before being caught. Instead of fearing her, the Physician assured her he only wished to help - as it could prove just as beneficial for him as it could for her. Through the the years, he taught her many things amidst Herbalism - how to cultivate and identify plants - their many uses; good, bad and ugly.
He taught her how to make things grow, to tend to your crop and create new species. Together, they kept her secret and helped each other learn; benefiting from their combined knowledge. Eventually, he passed - leaving her behind. She maintained her life there for sometime, peacefully aiding the small village with their medicinal and gardening needs - she watched people come and go; live and die. She remained an integral part of the village until it passed on into the silence of time. Feeling she should move on, she packed her belongings and left - only to be captured soon after and re-sold into the trade; her journey to come to an end in Guilderem - her new home - The Golden Tether.

Abilities:

She can create, shape and manipulate flora, including wood, vines, plants, moss, and various other pieces of the plants; such as leaves, seeds, roots, fruits and flowers - as well as the ability to cause said plants to grow, move/attack or even rise from the soil and "walk". She can also mutate them by rearranging their DNA structure, in addition giving her the ability to revive withered or dead plants. This capability also provides her with the knowledge to control spores and pollen, or use plant chemicals to heal people/objects and manipulate their properties for a wide range of varying effects.
Shapeshift: 🌼🌼
Possesses the ability to shapeshift. These various forms are not what you would call "normal", and each form maintains a flower that may sprout or possibly even bloom from her spinal column. In these forms she maintains her ability to speak, though it takes quite a bit of effort/energy, and it's likely she will fall asleep shortly after - which can last anywhere from a few hours to a few days. She's also not quite good at it, so the change may fail, which would result in lack of energy, migraines, loss of appetite and extreme lethargy.
Natural Energy Manipulation: 🌼
The ability to create, shape, manipulate, absorb and release the energy stored in nature; allowing her to mold it to her own will - including natural phenomena such as storms, volcanic activity, earthquakes, etc.
Fauna Empathy/Telepathy: 🌼 🌼
These abilities coincide with each other, allowing her to sense and understand the emotions of various animal life as well as communicate with them telepathically. When done correctly, she can also manipulate their thoughts, allowing her to command and control them; though this ability doesn't always need to be used, as she generally has a very strong bond with animals and animal kind.

NOTES: Given her nature and genetic makeup, Rys requires the occasional bout of sunlight to "recharge". She doesn't do well when kept fully indoors, and has been known to suffer bouts of severe depression and anxiety. From time to time, she'll require a bit of photosynthesis, which helps to improve and maintain her color, health and overall happiness. She also requires a "misting" every once in a while, if not given regular access to baths or water. This keeps the skin beneath her fur from drying and aids in her general well-being.
She carries with her a peculiar scent, similar to freshly churned soil and floral decay; yet eerily sweet, with the slightest hint of dampness. This particular scent has the tendency to attract others towards her, and if in her presence for too long, it becomes slightly intoxicating and the other party(s) may begin to experience effects similar to a drunkenness. The longer they are in her presence, the more the effects begin to intensify. However, once far enough away to escape her scent, the effects will quickly begin to subside before wearing off completely. If the party(s) spend prolonged amounts of time with her, they may begin to experience hallucinations, obsessive behavior, bouts of anger, and intense euphoria/sexual desires.
